The Government College, Naura, was established in Naura in the year 2007 and affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla thus placed in the scenic district of Kangra. Surprisingly located in a very quiet environment, this institution is situated on a 3-acre compound to facilitate learning. NAAC accredited college has a lot of under graduate courses to aim at different fields of interest to those who wish to pursue their careers at this level. Government College Naura enrolment about 373 students at present, practical faculties are about fifteen, making the learning environment small and intimate enough to encourage individual student development. 

It has variety of modern ECC facilities which add value to the general college learning environment. The college library displays more than 3000 books along with different variety of magazines and newspapers readily available to students in their studies. Sophisticated laboratories in Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography etc are available in which practical sessions are an essential requirement to master these subjects. The college also gives concern to the students’ health needs and safety with the establishment of health care centre for first aid and medical needs, and a gym for an active healthly lifestyle. For games and sports, CCA’s, festivals and other activities, the college has a large multi-purpose hall of 300 seating capacity to accommodate all social college/non-college activities and exams.

The total number of programmes offered by the Government College Naura are 6 undergraduate courses and all these courses are full time programmes anticipating to deliver complete education regarding all the fields. They offer every Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Medical and Non-Medical, Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Each of these programs spans for three years and is designed to provide students with contextualized knowledge and applied competencies in relation to their programmes of specialty.
