The Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem (GCASCQ) is one of the repute college which was found in the year 1989 in Quepem of South Goa, India. This affiliated college attached to this university has NAAC accreditation and provide for its students numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of arts, science and commerce. Being located at a 9.87 acres of land, GCASCQ has a total number of students and learners of 2266 and in terms of faculty and staff it has 122 members. The institution provides for the needs of the students by offering a large number of academic specialisations. GCASCQ offers 7 courses – these can be undergraduate or postgraduate. Bachelors programmes exist as B.A., B.Com, B.Sc, and B.A in Geography and Masters programmes are M.A, M.Com, M.Sc. All courses are taken full time so that students can focus on their learning and training effectively. According to the statistics of the academic year 2022 the college had 2, 266 students of which 2, 131 were undergraduate students and 135 were postgraduate students. This distribution also underlines the extent to which the college is committed to undergraduate instruction although it also offers some graduate programmes.

It is important to note that GCASCQ admission is done based on the performance of the candidates so that learners who would wish to undertake their preferred courses can be offered the chance they need to do so. For admissions to undergraduate degree programmes such as B.Com, B.Sc, B.A, and so on, no entrance examination is conducted and for these programme admission is strictly based on merit obtained by the candidate in his or her preceding examination. Besides, GCASCQ has published scholarship programmes to help qualifying students. In the college, for the academic year 2022, 384 students under undergraduate programme formed and received financial reimbursement alongside 17 post graduate students highlighting the college’s efforts to offer quality education to as many students as possible.
