Government College of Nursing Ajmer is one of the leading institutions with the objective of giving quality nursing education in the state of Rajasthan. Located in Rajkiya Mahila Chikitsalaya, Pushkar Bypass Road, Lohagal, Ajmer, its vision is to develop efficient and caring nursing professionals. The admission procedure is set for the Government College of Nursing, Ajmer, to identify sound candidates with passion for a career in nursing.
Nursing admissions to governmental colleges are yearly done. In most cases, the admission process for the program starts in the months of May-June for the next academic calendar of August-September.
Minimum eligibility criteria for nursing programs usually require completion of 10+2 along with compulsory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with the addition of English. The majority of nursing colleges require 45-50% marks in the qualifying examination for general category students, while there may be some relaxation of the percentage for reserved categories as per government norms.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Sc. Nursing: This four-year undergraduate program is the foundation of nursing education. Admissions to Government College of Nursing, Ajmer, are expected to be conducted based on the student's attainment in the state nursing entrance examination or national-level nursing entrance examination. General eligibility requirements are 10+2 with PCB and English with an aggregate of 45-50%.
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): This is a three-year diploma course in nursing. It is not yet confirmed if the Government College of Nursing, Ajmer, offers this course; however, this is taught in many government nursing colleges. GNM admissions are either based on a merit list prepared from marks obtained in 10+2 or through a different entrance examination.
Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing: This two-year program is for registered nurses seeking to upgrade their qualifications. GNM diploma holders with a work experience of at least one year are usually eligible for entry. The admission is through a separate entrance exam or merit list.
M.Sc. Nursing: All candidates desiring to take up postgraduate studies in nursing should have acquired a B.Sc. Nursing. Separate entrance examinations are usually conducted at the state or national levels for admissions into M.Sc. nursing programs.
