Government College Rhenock which was established in 2004 is an affiliated college situated in Rungdung of East Sikkim in India. This is a university with campus area of 32.67 acres of land which has 754 enrolled students and provides a great number of programmes for students. Currently, the college has a dedicated faculty of 33 teachers who help students with 3 degree programmes over 16 courses. The Government College of Rhenock is affiliated and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) hence the college aims to deliver quality education. It has a broad range of specialities, which match the most popular academic niches; these include Economics, Education, English, Geography, and more.

Government College Rhenock is well endowed with various amenities that improves the learning of the students enrolled. The library as one of the sources of students’ acquisition of academic materials boasts of a stock of over six thousand books, sub-divisioned as follows: It has subject books totaling 3,406 and reference books amounting to 202. To support its practical aspects, the college has functional labs for the departments of Geography, Statistics and Psychology. The basic infrastructre meets today’s educational requirements; the Statistics lab even has eight laptops. Playing facilities include outdoor games like badminton and volleyball courts, and the indoor games like Table tennis, chess, carom facilities separately especially for the boys and the girls. The college offers students services and amenities like internet connection, cafe, health centre with a first aid necessities. For the needy students, there is a boys’ hostel at the school compound and at the moment there is construction of the girl’s hostel.

There are 16 courses offered at Government College, Rhenock and all of these are full time. The college offers 11 BA, 4 B.Sc and 1 B.Com collegiate courses.
