Government College, Sailana, established in the year 1989 is affiliated college located in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. This university is located across the Court, near Jail, in Sailana. Currently, the college occupies spacious territory of 15 acres and provides its students with a wide choice of undergraduate and postgraduate curricula. Accredited by The National Assessment and Accreditation Council – NAAC (Autonomous body under Ministry of Human Development), Government College, Sailana currently has a strength of 886 students and has 12 committed and professional Faculties. The college offers 8 courses in 4 degree programmes of arts, commerce, and sciences.

Scholars in Government College, Sailana have been privileged to access a number of facilities that facilitate learning and development of the students. A library is a storehouse of information; a learning institution equipped with the necessary learning materials keeps a library. The college has departmental laboratory for practical sessions and the apparatus used are of latest technologies. Government College, Sailana has a total of eight courses, which consists of undergraduate and post graduate degrees. The Undergraduate courses offered are full time programmes comprising BA /B.Com Hons / B.Sc Hons in Botany, Chemistry and Zoology / B.Sc Hons in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, etc. Thus the college offers postgraduate programmes such as Master of Arts (MA) in Economics, Geography, Sociology and Politics. All these courses are offered on a full time basis of study in order to help the student gain maximum exposure to the chosen disciplines. Even though the breakout of percentage of seats for each of the course offered is not stated, the total quota for all programmes is 886 which can be interpreted as a moderate quantity of students.
