Government College, Theog, was founded in 1998 situated at district of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. This affiliated college located in the secluded region has introduced a plethora of under graduate programmes to the aspiring learners. Stretched in a small plot area of 2.9 acres, the college has established itself in the field of higher learning in the region.

The Government College has available richest and diverse equipment designed to complement the learning process of the students. The fully computerised library symbolises exactly this principle, with a wide range of collection of textbooks, reference books, instructional and information technology books and resources. It also the Physical education and Wellness which includes very good gym as well as other sporting amenities to ensure students achieve an appropriate healthy balance of learning and exercise. Government College, Theog is offering four programmes at the undergraduate level, which are all full time. The college offers undergraduate programmes which include; Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). The college has 1,082 total student enrolment and 23 faculties, which means that popular student to teacher ratio is maintained, which allows for quality teaching to the students. Though the intake for B.Sc and BCA programmes are also available there is no specified capacity like 100 seats for B.Com and 80 for BA programmes.

Admission procedure at the Government College, Theog, has been made simple as any student wanting to attend the institution can easily participate in the process.
