Government Daanveer Tularam College, Durg, was established in the year 1989 to act as the lighthouse for higher education in Chhattisgarh. This premier institution with co-educational set-up is located in Utai, Durg, sprawling over 21 acres. This affiliated college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), testifying to the fact that it adheres to quality in education. The college offers 1,381 students a varied choice of 11 courses in 5 degree programs. It has a strong institutional philosophy of personal learning, with a faculty strength of 17 committed teachers.

The academic portfolio includes 11 courses in arts, commerce, and sciences streams. At the UG level, BA, B.Com, and various specializations under B.Sc. can be pursued by students. These include Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics; Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology; Chemistry, Botany, and Microbiology; Chemistry, Zoology, and Biotechnology; and Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics. At the postgraduate level, the college offers MA in Hindi Literature, Political Science and Sociology and MSc in Botany.
