Government Degree College, Bishnah, (GDC Bishnah) is a co-educational college founded in 2008 in the territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. This affiliated college is situated in Glandi Grid Complex, Narwal and it comprises of total 10.35 acre of land area. GDC Bishnah has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which indicates, institutional emphasis on quality education. The college has 966 undergraduate students and 22 faculty members and offers three full-time undergraduate courses in two degrees. It conducts quality education that reflects the society composition with female students taking 61% and male students taking 39% for the institution, all being from within the state.

Various learning and cultural amenities that are available in the college provide solutions for the development of the learners. Accompanying these facilities is a school library that contains 3276 books in different subject areas with frequent deliveries of magazines/newspapers to inform students of current events. It also has internet connection which can open a lot of source to students and faculty members of the university. Having well equipped practical areas is also a strength of GDC Bishnah; they provide department wise laboratories so students not only to learn theoritical knowledge but also practical knowledge. For the health needs of the college community, the campus has a rudimentary clinic with a mini pharmacy operated by an experienced pharmacist. The college crowd will also have chances to develop in sports as the college provides itself with necessary facilities of sports grounds and celebrations for special occasions have an auditorium for events and seminars. The institution also has transport facilities whereby individuals are provided with easier means of transport when going to and from their working or learning places respectively

GDC Bishnah, at present, provides three undergraduate programmes out of which all the programmes are full time. These are a BA and two B.Sc programmes; Botany, Zoology and Chemistry, and Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. The college takes 324 students in total and this explains why the management of the college always makes sure that it admits a limited number of students per class level in order to be able to offer the students adequate attention and proper teaching.

Government Degree College, Bishnah follows a relatively simple admission procedure to help all the deserving students. However, the college remains fully aware of the importance of the fees, and the annual fees range between ₹22,080 and ₹43,900 based on the programmes is offered.
