GDC, Dharpally, is an undergraduate college established in 2013 in the Dharpally village of Nizamabad district, Telangana. This college affiliate provides programsmes that will lead to the award of undergraduate degrees in the several areas of specialization. Located in a 7 acres area, GDC Dharpally has 371 students where male and female students nearly have equal proportions; 47% male and 53% female. The college is having a teaching staff of 12 teachers and is offering 7 courses in 3 degree programmes. GDC Dharpally provides education in areas like Arts, Commerce & Science and teaches in both English & Telugu media for few courses.

A favourable atmosphere is also being provided to which the college is dedicated in offering to its students. GDC Dharpally has a library with books with about 1,118 volumes on different disciplines to meet the students’ educational requirements. The institution has functional computer laboratory for Computer Science, two Science Laboratories for Botany and Zoology, Chemistry and Physics complete with modern instruments that can deliver practical knowledge to the learners. They possess 13 college computers, two college printers, a photo copy machine and a scanner all of which are backed by UPS. These are used by the students for routine practicals and supplement the students’ technical skills.

The total number of undergraduate courses provided by the GDC Dharpally is seven all of which are full time. The college offers its students the Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) programmes with a wide range of choices in specialisation. The total number of students that can be admitted by the college is 300 and at present, the college is hosting 371 students. The college aims to provide quality education and employability of students. The course offered include B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, BA Economics, History and Politics Science, B.Com Computer Applications and so on.

Admission for the students in the Government Degree College is as per merit and is open for all the qualified candidates. The college admits students through the ordinary admission process as those institutions in Telangana State. This is usually in form of the performance of the applicant in the 10+2 or any other equivalent examination. Even though the college was started for students who prefers English medium, there are also classes available which are taught in Telugu medium.
