Government Degree College for Women, Karimnagar baronial itself in the year 1973has stood as a symbol of women’s education within Telangana region. Situated in the capital city of Karimnagar, this affiliated college takes up area of 14.5 acres of land. The institute is accredited from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) making education quality of the institution paramount. Today, college offers 12 types of the courses within 5 degrees programmes for 2,446 students, all of them are women. The student population is made up of 90% undergraduate and 10% postgraduate students, well supplemented by faculty members of 35 persons.
