Government Degree College for Women Srikalahasti (GDCW Srikalahasti) is a women’s college was established in the year 1988. collegiate campus situated in srikalahasti of Chittoor District of the Andhra Pradesh is having an area of 2.5 Acre of land with affiliated college. GDCW Srikalahasti has got the NAAC accreditation which is sign of commitment towards quality education. The college has an aim of delivering 9 courses with a total of 491 students distributed in five degree programmes. We have a faculty team comprising of 16 dedicated members and the student to faculty ration is quite good which facilitates paying individual attention to every student. 

It is affiliated to Government Degree College for Women Srikalahasti with a host of additional modern facilities to let the students learn and grow in an efficient way. The campus has Wi-Fi which makes it almost easy for the students to access any the internet resources they need. The college also has a library whose collection include over 11000 books to support the knowledge of both the students and the faculty. Accommodated departments have well facilitated laboratories for training purposes including practical operations. The institution also has an auditorium for occasions and a cafeteria for offering healthy food. Basic need for health is met through the existence of a Health centre while the Physical need of the community is catered for by a well furnished Gymnasium. For the sport-loving persons, amenities for basketball, badminton, table tennis, volley ball and tennis are arranged. The college also provides easy access and feasible parking space for students and staff of the institution. 

In fact for academic prospectus, the college of GDCW Srikalahasti provides number of programmes which are elaborate and variegated. The institution offers seven under graduate courses and two post graduate courses, all 9 full time courses. The undergraduate programmes includes arts, science, and commerce fields comprising of frequently selected courses like BA History, Economics, Political Science, B.Sc with various combinations like Mathematics Physics Chemistry, B.Com with or without Computer Applications. In the postgraduate level of its programmes, the college and offers M.Sc in Zoology and Masters in commerce. These programmes are aimed at the preparation of the required educational result as a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills for further successful labour activity in the chosen field. 

Admission to the GDCW Srikalahasti is very much open to all with respect to qualifications, but preferred from those with merit. Unfortunately, there is no information about fixed dates within the admission but the students are welcome to visit the college website or call the admission office to get the updated information. It is financially backed to support its students, the tabular form below shows the number of students accorded fees remission 2022 where out of the 468 undergraduate, only 18 could not be aided while all the 23 postgraduate students were supported. This commitment to financial aid guarantees that talent pool cannot be restricted mainly because of financial problems. The college also has an active alumni association which although isn’t registered, is of immense importance in keeping the link between students of the past and the present. As for the individuals who have attended the college, it is unknown whether there are recognised personalities at the current time; however, the college boasts with graduates who have achieved much in their respective fields.
