Government Degree College, Kanda was established in the year 2006 is one of the prime educational institutions set up at Bageshwar in the state of Uttarakhand. Under different streams this affiliated college conducts undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Spread over a compact 1 acre campus, GDC Kanda has seen much change in terms of student take-up, up to 251. Female undergraduate representation is high at 79%, while for postgraduates it sits at 86%. The faculty strength of this college is 16 with 8 courses across 4 degree programs in arts, commerce, and science streams.
