Established in the year 1994, Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram, is a co-educational college located in Chittoor District in Andhra Pradesh. This affiliated college is spread over a 5.13-acre spread; the institution offers under-graduate courses to 471 students who are registered there. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited this college after conducting all processes, vouching for the receipt of quality education. They equip their students with a faculty team of 6 members, bringing diversity in 3 courses under 4 degree programmes. The male-female ratio is 67/33 and most students are from the state only, giving us a rich local presence.

Government Degree College, Karvetinagaram offers a total of 3 full-time undergraduate courses. These include B.Com (Computer Applications Honours), B.A. (Political Science Honours), and B.Sc. (Computer Science Honours). Therefore the total capacity sanctioned for intake of students in all programmes sums up to 220 seats. The college, in the last academic year has recorded the total number of student enrolment to be 442 in all programmes; the number is far greater than what the college had anticipated.
