Dr. V. Siva Kumar, established the Government Degree College, Mulugu in the year 1999 which is situated in Warangal, Telangana. This affiliated college located at a vast area of 13.3 acres has been coming up with improvements in higher learning. NAAC accredited the college which shows the quality assurance of the college. The college has a student enrollment of 222 and a faculty of 9 which makes the college student-teacher ratio to be favourable. The institute currently has 10 courses and spans 3 degree packages, mainly Undergraduate in arts and sciences. The college's diverse student body comprises 175 male and 124 female students, reflecting a balanced gender ratio of 2:1.

To this end, the college has several infrastructures meant to complement the general learning environment of the students. The gymnasium plays its part in ensuring that the physical aspect of the school’s resmi is well nurtured; the library conversely fulfils the intellectual need of the school’s resmi. The centres allow students to balance between Books and Games. The college’s IT directs guarantees that students remain informed on developments in various fields of technology. Facilities at the departmental level include laboratory facilities offered to the students, an important facility needed for sciences. A cafeteria serves as an area where students can unwind or take a break and also acts as a social zone. The college also comprises an auditorium for occasions such as meetings, seminars and workshops to encourage the college community. With first aid facilities, a health centre is an added advantage of having facilities in the college for the health concerns of the community.

The courses offered are divided into disciplines of Arts, Commerce and Science.  Government Degree College, Mulugu has a total of ten BA and B.Com courses offered which are all full-time. There is no clear direction to the number of students to be admitted to individual courses but the total direct admission for all courses is 222. The college is positioned to deliver quality undergraduate courses taking a standard duration of three years.
