Government Engineering College, Kushalnagar abbreviated as GEC, Kushalnagar is one of the pioneering colleges for engineering started in the year 2007, located in the serene back drop of Kodagu, Karnataka. Housed in the central part of Kushalnagar, this affiliated college has been developing technical ASM talent for more than oneAs many years. GEC Kushalnagar is located on a vast area of 10 acres and currently possesses approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which makes the quality of education and its correspondence to high standards of the country considerable. At the moment, the college has four degree levels in engineering and is supporting 700 student thank to 23 faculty members.

The GEC Kushalnagar infrastructure has various amenities which are contemporary to make learning more effective among the students. It also has cafeteria and parking that add on the convenience and a banking and ATM nearby to help with any needs that the campus may have.

With regard to the courses offered educationally, GEC Kushalnagar offers four years full time BE courses consisting of four years. They Include civil campus, Mechanical campus, Electronics and communications campus, Computer science and engineering campus. Every course has the intakes of 60 students that have been approved meaning that theprograms take 240student per annum. Such a focus enables the college to admit only a limited number of students so that the college can control the student-teacher ratio and then meet the needs of each learner. The credibility of the curriculum approved by SCU consist of a combination of theoretical knowledge accompanied with practical skills as a response to the complex nature of the rapidly growing technology.

It is worth to note that the most of the students get admission through the GATE and Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) for the engineering stream.
