Bengaluru's Government Film and Television Institute of India, with its origin in 1943, is located in the middle of Karnataka State. This prestigious institution, located on a large 25-acre plot of land, has been determining the evolution of the movie and television industry for nearly 80 years. Diploma programmes get approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as the institute offers technical and creativity-orientated programmes that are fit for the film technical world.
