Government First Grade college, Baada was started in the year 2007 and this college is an affiliated college situated in Kumta, Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka State India. This university strives to deliver the best degrees for undergraduates thus providing these courses. Currently, the college has 116 students and staff of four lecturers which makes the teaching learning process intensive. The campus, situated at pin code 581441, offers three full-time degree programs: m Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). It is therefore a government institution that targets at providing quality education to a number of students in the region.

The college is aware of the need to provide the basic promoting facilities that will help Improve the learning environment of the students. The library play a very useful role by trying to provide a number of books and other reference materials essential for learning. For practical learning, the college has departmental laboratory in order to enable the students to gain practical experience in the areas of the specific department. 

Being aware of the role of technology in today’s learning processes, the institution has equipped with effective IT facilities, computing equipments, and other resources available to students. For physical and team welfare, the college has made available sporting amenities for the use of all the students. Furthermore, the college has an active alumni association which enhances a network with a wide range of connection that may help the current learners to enjoy some relations from the aspect of mentorship and job placement.

Government First Grade College, Baada currently provides its learners with three full- time undergraduate courses. The B.A course has the largest take in with 2OO students whereas the B.Sc and B.Com takes one hundred students each. This has put the total student intake capacity for all courses to 400. Each of the programs lasts for three years from which the students acquire adequate knowledge and skills in their areas of specialization. The above-mentioned core disciplines teach in the college show the college’s focus on providing a sound and solid base in arts; sciences; and commerce.
