In 1986, Government Geetanjali Girls Post Graduate College was established an autonomous college in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This women’s college is located in a vast area of 15.43 acres of land and has been educating the generations for more than three decades. The college is privileged to have a student population of 5,380 and a calculated faculty of 45 members. Having 20 courses to cover nine degree programmes, the institution meets the intellectual demands of students with various concerns. This college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and there are few colleges that are imparting quality education in this region.

The college boasts of modern equipment that could improve and facilitate the course delivery to the students. The E-Library was set up in 2015 which contains more than 31,00,000 e-books and 6000 e-journals through INFLIBNET membership. Facilities which are available at campus include well-equipped laboratories, computer labs, a well-built and spacious auditorium to conduct academic and other cultural programs. In an attempt to develop students’ all-round manner, the college has good accommodation facilities for sportsmen and women as well as a well-equipped gym. The girls’ hostel on the campus that is under construction to accommodate one hundred and sixteen learners, will ensure that outstation learners are offered a secure place to stay.

Geetanjali Girls Post Graduate College is also an institute affiliated under government providing different types of Under Graduate and Post Graduate course. Some of its distinguished courses are: BA, B.Com, BCA, and B.Sc with diverse majors including, Botany, Chemistry, Zoology and Biotechnology. At the postgraduate level, the college offers Masters in Arts in Economics, Hindi, and Urdu; Masters in Commerce and Masters in Science in Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, and Botany. It also offer a specialty Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics as the demand for Nutritional graduates increases. In total, there are 20 full-time courses, thus guaranteeing maximum coverage of fields of study for potential students.
