Government Hrangbana College,Aizawl started in 1980 is another noted and situated in the hot hub of Aizawl, the capital town of Mizoram. This associated college affiliated to the Karnataka State. It was established NAAC accredited more than four decades ago to prepare young minds. Situated on a small area of 1.9063 acres, Muching college provides a vast list of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Government Hrangbana College is comprised of 1,810 students and 51 members of the teaching Staff making it have a student teacher ratio of 2:1. The college has equal opportunity for all students regardless of gender that is 947 male students and 1,038 female students.

Government Hrangbana College the faculties are proud to provide many assistance that help to improve the learning process. The library occupies two floors and already contains 4,102 square meters; there are 27,871 books and various journals on its shelves. Academic facilities of the university include a comprehensive reading room, having sitting accommodation for 75, besides a special reading section for teachers and research scholars. This has been recently enhanced through the computerisation of the library with the help of SOUL 2.0 software. To address the needs of female students, and the College offers a Women’s Hostel with thirty-two capacities equipped with indoor games facilities and television. The facilities supported the college’s goal of the overall growth of the learner; they included a well equipped playground at Muthi. Also it has language laboratory, computer laboratory of 27 computers, latest auditorium with a seating of over 800 people.

Hrangbana Government College has in total of three courses, all of which are the full time courses. These are two undergraduate programmes which take durations of three years; Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of commerce (B.Com) while the postgraduate programme is Master of Commerce (M.Com) that takes two years. The college in total has student intake of 1810 students for various courses. Though it has not been possible to get data of the number of students who graduated in the most current year, the college remains committed to offering quality education in their various courses and facilities offered to the students.

Government Hrangbana College strives to provide honest admission policy for all the students who wish to pursue their college education.
