Government Law College, Salem, was founded in the year 2021. This is an institution that aims at producing the future lawyers in Salem Tamil Nadu. Government Law College, Salem, currently offers two comprehensive law programmes: A traditional three-year LLB programme and a five-year integrated BA LLB programme. Each of the courses is full-time in line with the college’s mission of offering intense and comprehensive legal education. The LLB programme costs ₹4,377 per year and is ideal to study for the graduates who want to build a legal profession. This programme of BA LLB integrated which costs ₹7,295 per year is more comprehensive than the LLM programme, and it is meant for learners directly from high school, with emphasis on arts and law education. The college has a strength of 167 students intake per session and 5 faculties making the essential student faculty ratio found ideal as it ensures maximum attention given to students.
