Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital, Balangir has been set up in 2018 and is one among the new generation of Medical colleges in Odisha. This affiliated college is based in Balangir, and recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The institute has a co-educational setup and spans across an area of the campus of 21 acres and serves the students in the diverse environment. College has over all enrolment of 282 students and has 97 faculty members; hence, the college offers good and effective student faculty ratio, which enhances the quality of education imparted to the students.

These include a host of modern facilities within the college aimed at complimenting the learning experience and the total personality of the students. The campus has special hostel facilities for the female and male students who stay at the school compound during their studies. BBMC & Hospital Balangir has one program to its credit as of now – MBBS- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. This course is a full-time course that takes six years to complete, due to the immense coverage of the subject area in medical training. The college has a permitted intake of one hundred seats for its MBBS programme and is playing a crucial role in building up the medical professional human resource in the region.
