If you belong to Assam and you want to apply for Government Medical College, Chandigarh, you have to apply under its All India Quota. In 2018 under All India Quota, a score of 488 marks under ST Category secured a seat in this college. With 378 marks unfortunately you fall short of marks for an admission. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats availble, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.

Hello Sonia, hope you doing good.

It is a total of 4 year undergraduate course. The minimum eligibility criteria for pursuing this course is the successful completion of 10+2 level of education in Physics, chemistry, and biology.

The entrance exam will be held between April to June. The average course fee ranges from 8,000 to 90,000 per year.

Hope this clears your doubt. Feel free to ask more questions

Hi Anamika!

With 577 marks in neet, you have a pretty decent chance of getting admission through All India Quota. If you belong to the reserved categories, you can be sure to get a seat in a government college of high reputation! If you are from the general category, there are still fair chances.

Since state cut offs are lower than AIQ cut offs, you will surely get a seat in government college of your home town.

Good luck!

A court case is going through in CHD high court for the residential students. So take state quota of one state only n frankly for haryana only . Coz there are hundreds with about 650+ in CHD.

Thanks.

Hi Seema,

The query you put forward is so relevant. And i would like to add that there is chances for an increase under the submission of a request to the central body. But still the chance is depended upon the public interest. And the request should be under the public interest law.

Thank you.

Hi Aditya!

Congrats for the superb performance! You have secured a NEET UG rank in span 2992 - 3992. For this you can get in top medical college and pursue your dream of becoming doctor as per former closing rank. Caution closing rank modifies with succeeding year due to candidates, ROI, seat matrix.

It is beneficial to get ready for counselling with branch by your NEET UG rank here - https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor

Hello Muskan

If you are entitled to the seats in the u.t pool (85%) then according to last year's statistics you should get in with 490 marks. If you're trying through the all india pool (15%) you need a score of 610+ marks/ all india rank in top 200. All the best.

Hey.
The cut off for admission in government medical colleges in Assam in the previous year 2018 under the State quota for the ST Hill category was a score of 230+ marks. And for admission under the ST Plain category the cut off for admission was a score of 270+ marks.
The cut off for varies each year due to several factors like level of difficulty and level of competition etc..but you still seem to have a fair chance of admission in a government medical college in Assam. You can use the link below for previous year trends.
