Government Paluram Dhananiya Commerce and Arts College, Raigarh was established in the year 1965 as the premier institution of Chhattisgarh, India. This co-ed campus of 1.82 acres is an affiliated college accredited by NAAC. Approval from the Bar Council of India has facilitated the offering of varied courses in commerce, arts, and law. With a total enrollment of 1,236 and having a faculty strength of 16, the college has set up an environment that would allow students to flourish in academics as well as individuals.

There is a well-stocked library acting as a knowledge hub, providing the students with a variety of books, magazines, and newspapers to aid them in their academic pursuit. Sports grounds fully equipped for games like basketball, badminton, handball, volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, and cricket are available. Keeping in view the mental health of the students, a Mental Health Center has been opened in collaboration with the Health Department.

The Government Paluram Dhananiya Commerce and Arts College offers five courses in total, at different study levels. They offer three undergraduate courses: B.Com, BA, and BA LLB, and two postgraduate courses: M.Com and MA in Sociology. All of these courses are full-time and provide deep learning to students who want education in their respective areas. The sanctioned intake in college for the programmes is 540. Out of these B.Com has the highest, with 220 students intaking admission; whereas on the other hand, 160 is the intake under BA. The post-graduate seats include 60 seats for M.Com as well as for MA Sociology and 60 seats for BA LLB.
