GPC is a young institution, having started its operations in 2018, and focuses on the education of pharmacy in Uttar Pradesh, India. The college is located on a small area of approximately 2.025 hectares: It has only one program for the bachelor’s degree, the college of pharmacy. Government Pharmacy College, Gorakhpur, currently offers a single course: namely the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) course of study. This full-time course takes four years to complete and is awarded at the level of the undergraduate degree in pharmaceutical sciences. The program has an approved intake capacity for 60 students, which has reduced the student strength to faculty ratio for the college to maintain a rational one to ensure quality education.
