Government Polytechnic, Bhalswagaj: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Government Polytechnic, Bhalswagaj was established in the year 2013. This affiliated college is situated in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The sanction for this technical institution has been accorded by the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi, and presently it is offering diploma courses in different branches of engineering with an enrolment of 59 and a faculty strength of 4. Government Polytechnic, Bhalswagaj offers three full-time diploma courses in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and the most modern Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Different facilities have been provided in this institute to enrich its students studying experience. One of the major facilities in Academic resources is a well-furnished library with a wide range of books on trades taught in the institute. Students can have books from the library for a seven-day period while there are a number of journals and magasines subscribed to by the library to help learners stay updated with the prevailing latest developments within their respective fields. The college facilitates students who like physically engaging activities through the availability of sports facilities, thus embracing the holistic approach to education. There are also department-based laboratories that facilitate students' practical experiences in their respective fields. For taking a break and socialising, there is a canteen facility for the staff and students alike.

Government Polytechnic, Bhalswagaj, at present, offers three full-time diploma courses, which run for three years. These courses tackle various areas of engineering that may enable students to follow different career paths. The total intake capacity of the institute is 120 students in all courses, with 60 in Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 30 each in Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering and in Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. 

The admission process to Government Polytechnic, Bhalswagaj is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Uttarakhand, through the Board of Technical Education Uttarakhand, BTEU. Hence it follows a centralised admission process. This also ensures a fair and transparent mode of admission to the students seeking admission in the polytechnic.
