Government Polytechnic Chunar, Mirzapur set up in 2016 is one of the leading polytechnics in the state of Uttar Pradesh. GP Chunar has been affiliated with the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, and is approved by AICTE. Government Polytechnic Chunar courses include one diploma with three branches including electrical and electronics engineering, paint technology, and food technology. 

Government Polytechnic Chunar Mirzapur admissions are done on the basis of the JEECUP entrance examination conducted by the UPJEE.
