The Government Polytechnic College at Moti Nagar, Balaghat, was founded in 1962 and is one of the oldest technical colleges in the region. This affiliated college sanctioned by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) presents several diploma courses in engineering fields. Situated on a 10.5-acre land, respectively, the college has a total admission capacity of 603 students and a number of faculty members is 15. At the core of the institute, there are four depicted technical education diploma courses, each of which address varied classes of engineering and technology.

This institution is Government Polytechnic College, Balaghat, offering four full-time diploma courses. The duration of each of these courses is 3 years. Such course comprise a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering. Each programme has an approved intake of 60 students; thus, the total number of seats established for all the courses offered are 240.
