Affiliated college Government Polytechnic College, Kathua started in 2012 is located in Jammu and Kashmir, India. Located and spread over 7.5 acres at Barnoti, Dist.Kathua-Delhi Bypass, National Highway (NH-1A), this institution’s sole aim is to impart technical education. Recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the college offers three diploma programmes in engineering specialities. Government Polytechnic College, Kathua, admitted a total of 57 students and has a faculty of 5 students ensuring a learner centered education for intending poly technical students aspiring to become engineers.

To enhance learning college has laid good infrastructure for student to have balance between study and other activities. The library currently boasts over 3,500 books and has both storage and reading sections and access to newspapers and magazines.
