Government Polytechnic College Khargone, was established in 1990 is one of the well-known technical institute located in Khargone ( Madhya Pradesh ). Located on Umarkhali Road adjacent to TV tower, it is affiliated college that has been training the future technicians for more than 30 years. The institute spreads a wide spectrum of diploma courses under the engineering stream sanctioned by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICT. The college occupy a total land space of 12 acres hence enabling the establishment of effective environment for learning. At present the student capacity is fixed at 384 and the faculty has a prepared strength of 23 teachers, which again gives a great student faculty ratio and good education.

The Government Polytechnic College firmly believes that it needs to equip its students with all the features available in today’s facilities. A library having more than 11800 books stocked in it has been set up as students’ intellectual centre. The institute boasts itself on having efficient and well-developed IT facilities where student get Wi-Fi connection and practically throughout the campus to enhance the students’ learning capabilities. In addition, the college has up-to-date and well-equipped, laboratory for every department to offer practical experience. Students can make use of various indoor and outdoor sports amenities hence helping them exercise and maintain proper health and exercise balance for their academic work. In particular, there is the girls’ hostel within the college area just two minutes from the main block of the building. This hostel contains indoor games facilities such as chess, carom, and table tennis etc and outdoor facilities for badminton. There are even plans to put up another new 50-seater hostel for accommodation for students.

Government Polytechnic College, Khargone provides a total of five diploma courses of three years duration which are complete time courses such as Information Technology and Fashion technology. These courses suit different interest in the field of engineering and technology.
