Government Polytechnic College Reasi is affiliated college situated in Mari Reasi, District Reasi Jammu and Kashmir which was set up in year 2012. This technical institution Co- accredited by the World bank, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognised by Govt. of Rajasthan offers diploma in engineering disciplines. The college is privy to a total enrolment of 58 students and employs faculty of four which make it responsive to the needs of the students. The institute conducts two diploma courses in full time – both are of 60 intakes and students can get themselves admitted in either Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Government Polytechnic College Reasi has several amenities to boost learning and education of its students as detailed next. Auxiliary, yet essential for successful studying, the library of the institute contains more than 3500 books divided into 2 areas – storage and readers’ area. Books are issued to students for a fortnight on production of valid college identity cards. In support of functional and experiential learning, the college provides academic departments with relevant laboratories. It has also realised the need of the health and hence has offered the students various sporting facilities. Furthermore, the college has put in place other aspects of IT where students need to be computer literate through offering a computer lab.

Right now Government Polytechnic College, Reasi is providing Two diploma courses in their college and both of these courses are duration of three years full time course. The two specialised courses are Diploma in Computer Engineering and Diploma in Electrical Engineering for which the approved intake for each course is 60 students making a total of 120 students. It means that these courses will help students build a solid basis for practice in the spheres related to such day rapidly developing technologic and energetic industries.
