The Government Polytechnic, Kadiri is an affiliated college located in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh and came into being in the year 2008. Diploma courses in technical education are rendered by this institution and have also been accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education. The campus is 5 acres and has a total student enrolment of 214 with faculty strength at 12. Govt. Polytechnic, Kadiri offers two Diploma courses for three years in a row in the courses Automobile Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. This technical education is undertaken by an institute body through its oriented curriculum and practical outlook. 

The Government Polytechnic has several facilities that are in place to enhance the learning experience of its students. Government Polytechnic, Kadiri has two full-time diploma programmes with an approved intake of 60 students in each. This works out to a total intake of 120 students across the two courses, reflecting the focused approach at this institute for technical education.  The admission to Govt Polytechnic, Kadiri is mainly through the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET). This state-wide test is organised by the State Board of Technical Education and Training-AP, Vijayawada, which serves as a pathway for students seeking a seat in the concerned institute.
