An affiliated college, Government Polytechnic was set up in Kohima in 1994. It is an AICTE approved institution offering Diploma in engineering disciplines. Located at a 15 acre plot beside IG Stadium, the polytechnic conducts a total intake of 169 students and has a faculty of 19 members. The institute offers two full time diploma courses recognized by the government of Punjab in Civil Engineering 30 approved intake and Computer Science Engineering 30 approved intake.
