Government Polytechnic, Moradabad was established in 1964 with an aim of providing quality technical education and diploma courses to the students. The college is located in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The college is affiliated with the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Government Polytechnic, Moradabad is known for its quality education and not only focuses on academic knowledge but also the personality development of the students. 

Government Polytechnic, Moradabad provides Diploma courses in three main core subjects - Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The duration of these diploma courses is three years. Admission to the Government Polytechnic, Moradabad is done through the entrance test of Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic) Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP).
