Government Polytechnic, Srirangapatna: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Government Polytechnic at Srirangapatna started the course from the year 2008 and is located at Arakere, Srirangapatna in Mandya District of Karnataka. This affiliated college, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) – Diploma programs in engineering disciplines. Located in a 5 acre area, the institute has a total strength of 553 students and has nearly 30 faculty members. Since focused on technical education, Government Polytechnic, Srirangapatna offers four vocational diploma programs that impart hands on exposure along with the sound academic knowledge in their specific stream.

The institute boast of being equipped with all the necessities and many more infrastructure facilities that assist students in their learning as well as in all other facets of life. The college library is a prominent feature of the college and a knowledge center for students where they may find a lot of additional materials to read. Most departments are well endowed with modern laboratories where students can practically test concepts learnt from the classroom.

In particular, the sports facility is enjoyable to those who prefer engaging in physical activities; the facility also provides balance between work and learning among facilities, which enhance students.

Government Polytechnic, located in Srirangapatna offers the following full time Diploma courses: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering each of a calendar duration of three years. These courses are designed across different fields of engineering to enable students find different career paths. The intake of students in the following courses has been approved as follows; 240 total intake while each program takes 60 students. 

This will help in ensuring adequate student/faculty ratio to make convenient follow ups with those affected hence facilitating a very effective learning process. This practical industrial oriented structure is clear from the programs offered by the institute which have been developed to meet the current needs of the technical industry.
