Government Shaheed Gendsingh College, Charama, was established in 1989 which is affiliated College located in Uttar Bastar Kanker, Chhattisgarh. There are more than 30 years of experience in educating students here The area of the campus is 17.27 acres. The college has been able to mobilise a total of one thousand and eighty one students and has the services of fifteen faculty members. As shown below, the college provides students with an opportunity to take seven different courses across the six programmes of study that cuts across arts, commerce, and sciences. Since the college seeks to impart quality education, it has grown to being a popular college in the region known as Government Shaheed Gendsingh College. 

Government Shaheed Gendsingh College provides different amenities to improve students’ learning. It is a historical building which contains books, newspapers, magazines and a large number of well-known research journals. Comprehensive teaching facilities-supported well equipped reading rooms are ideal for individual study. College also adopts book bank scheme for providing free text books to the students belonging to Scheduled cates and tribes. To support its instruction programmes, the institution has functional laboratories for different departments.
