Government Tool Room and Training Centre, Humnabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Government Tool Room and Training Centre, Humnabad (GTTC Humnabad) is an era old technical institute, set up in the year 1972. This government run institute is situated in Karnataka state specifically in the KIADB Industrial Area of Humnabad, being established to provide quality educational needs in tool and die making. Therefore, GTTC Humnabad has got the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which is testimonial to the fact that this institution complies with the minimum standard set down by the Indian parliament for technical institutions. At present the institute boasts of a total student enrolment of 192 and faculty of 3 which provides a niche arena for technicians training.

These are the amenities that have been installed at GTTC Humnabad in order to achieve it’s education goals. The institute accommodates a well stocked library which satisfies the students learning needs apart from affording them reference materials. For this, sports facilities are provided by the school to the students’ where they children can practice for physical development and recreation. The college has an appreciation of current technology in learning institute and is well equipped with a sound IT facilities. It is important to have departmental laboratories, as practical trainings are useful in connection with the subject of study for students. An auditorium is used for hosting event and seminars, thus giving life to a learning institution.

The institute offers a single specialised course, a Diploma of Tool and Die Making. This is a full-time programme, which takes three years of study to produce competent professionals in this specialized area of engineers. The course has an approved intake capacity of 60 students per year so as to maintain student faculty ratio and to provide quality education.

The eligibility criteria of GTTC Humnabad is that only those candidates are admitted into the course who has promise in tool and die making.
