Government Tool Room and Training Centre, Shivamogga: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Government Tool Room and Training Centre, Shivamogga was established in 2010, an affiliated college which is situated in Nidige Industrial Area, Shivamogga, Karnataka. This institute is also approved from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is the specialised in technical field, in particular tool and die making. The centre has taken a total of 175 students and it has only 1 faculty, which makes it possible for upcoming technicians to practice and learn in a different environment.

The Government Tool Room and Training Centre, Shivamogga has several facilities that will help its students improve their learning. With respect to, the college library can be of enormous benefit to the student especially for academic and research purpose due to its exposure of a lot of information in the students field of study. It also shows departmental laboratories necessary for a technical institute providing first-hand practical knowledge. A good infrastructure in an IT environment enables the understanding of technological competencies significant in today’s world among students. Furthermore, the college is aware of the need for a balanced education through providing sports facilities to enhance students physical and teams spirit.

The institute offers a single course, a Diploma in Tool and Die Making. This programme is wide and tends to take four years as a full-time programme and it offers intensive and professional study in this particular subject. The course to be provided here has an approved intake of sixty students to retain the aspect of selective/cohort based education which is quite necessary for an institute like ours.
