The Government Unani Medical College and Hospital, Ganderbal, Kashmir (GUMCK) is a special medical college which started in the year 2011. This co-educational college is situated in Srinagar, Kashmir and focuses on Unani system of medicine that has been developed from Greco-Arabic science, art of healing. Being an affiliated college GUMCK has the responsibility and opportunity to propagate and develop the understanding of Unani system of medicine in the region.

The college maintains an effective library for students, teachers, researchers and others researching on Unani Medicine and other health related sciences. For the practical purpose there existence well equipped departmental laboratories meant for providing practical training in different aspects of Unani system of Medicine.

The institute currently has a BUMS programme it provides a full-time course that duration takes six years to complete. This all-encompassing course is intended for deliverance of rich knowledge of Unani system of medicine to make potential professionals for this distinct healthcare system.
