Government Unani Medical College Bengaluru (GUMC) is a one of the best College in the field of Unani Medical College. Another government recognised college in the city is this institution which began its journey in 1975 to train Unani practitioners. Gube has established medical college in one of the most progressive city in India, Bengaluru, Karnataka, for both undergraduate and postgraduate level Unani medicine. This college offers a total of 216 students enrolment and 20 professional qualified and experienced faculty members.

The college offers two full-time courses, the undergraduate BUMS and the postgraduate in MD Qabalat wa Amraze Niswan. The BUMS program takes 5 ½ years to complete, and upon completion, the graduates have adequate grounding in Unani system of medicine. MD is another degree program offered at the level of graduate and post graduate which is specifically targets for the graduate with a procedures of three years which is involves in obstetrics and gynecology in Unani system of medicines.

GUMC embraces the usual national level entrance examination as the admission channel. The important eligibility criteria for the BUMS program are that the aspirants need to clear the NEET. AIAPGET form All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test is used to admit students to the MD programme for postgraduate. The college only accepts students that performed well in these entrance exams and the selection process is based purely on merit.
