Designated as an affiliated college, Grace College of Engineering, Thoothukudi was inaugurated in the year 2009. Approved by AICTE this campus spreads over 10.24 acres of land where all kinds of engineering and management programmes are imparted. It has a total strength of 252 students and faculty strength of 72 in order to foster and encourage seriousness in learning. It has 11 courses in total with 3 degrees at various levels of study that are mainly Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, and Mechanical courses. The understanding of offering quality education is apparent through its equipped modern facilities as well as market-oriented curricula.

Among the facilities that are available in Grace College of Engineering, Thoothukudi include modern facilities intended to support learning in the college. The library system involves a main library and faculty libraries, with a large stock of engineering, science and humanities books. Full time BE programmes offered are 7, full time ME programmes are 3 and full time MBA programme is also offered. The total approved intake for all courses is three hundred and seventy eight seats. The BE Computer Science and Engineering programme has the highest intake of 120 students among the undergraduate courses offered due to rising interests.

Grace College of Engineering has strict polices in place for admitting fresh and deserving students for each course. As for the undergraduate engineering programmes, the admission through TNEA counselling by affording weightage for the marks scored in the +2 examination as well as the cutoff ranks. The college also regarding for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main aptitude for BE/ BTech courses. For postgraduate programmes, the college accepts TANCET score and CEETA PG score from Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission. The MBA programme also for admission considers the scores obtained in TANCET.
