Great Ganges Institute of Technology, Unnao: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

They get affiliated with any college based on proper guidelines; hence Great Ganges Institute of Technology, Unnao is affiliated college which is newly established in 2013 in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Located at a distance of 22 Km from Unnao and on Kanpur-Lucknow National Highway it is a Co-educational institution with all modern academic facilities. As for now, GGIT has 215 students and only 16 members of the faculty, which contributes to highly concentrated learning. Currently, the institute has two undergraduate courses; the BCA for students with a flair for computers and the BBA for students who have a commercial bent. 

Great Ganges Institute of Technology has well-equipped facilities right from the classroom, computer, IT and language laboratories and other learning resources. The college is also having well equipped with a large number of text books, reference books, periodicals, newspapers, competition books and research methodology books. The centrally air-conditioned Computer centre having 70 plus terminals give hands on experience of students to various programming languages. Other facilities set aside for extra curricular activities are a 300 seater auditorium, plus various sporting facilities such as the basketball court, the badminton court, and tennis court. It also has a modern cafeteria, internet service and separate, AC and non-AC facilities for boys’ and girls’ hostels to meet the needs of those students who live in the campus. 

Great Ganges Institute of Technology currently offers two full-time undergraduate courses: BCA and BBA courses that both take the 3 year time span. The BCA programme has been approved for an intake capacity of 60, but there is no said intake capacity for BBA seats. This classes are meant to prepare the students with current market skills in the relevant fields of specialisation. The total student intake capacity by this institute is 215 and it matches with the current enrolment which reveals that actually the institute is fully loaded. 

The admission procedure of Great Ganges Institute of Technology is very simple and only merit based. For admission into BBA and BCA programmes of GGIT, candidates are to write a Common Entrance Test conducted by the institute. Thus, the institute is sure that only the necessary aptitudes and skills among the students in order to complete these programmes. The institute also has transport facilities from Kanpur and Unnao and the charges vary from Rs. 600/- to 1,500/- monthly according to distance and makes the conveyance comfortable for the day scholars. As much as it may not be clear for any specific scholarship programme, one would not doubt the institute’s stand in its fee structure and provision of facilities for quality education at reasonably low charges. Being one of the new generation institutions, GGIT is gradually establishing itself in the areas of Computer Applications and Business Management to produce students capable of facing the competitive world.
