HI,

Both the institutions are good in their own terms and both are in top 100 b-school list

but when coming to greak lake institute of management is rank higher than IBA Bangalore

talking more about Great Lakes Institute of Management it has 100% placements, very good infrastruture,faculty and has the prestigious AMBA (Association of MBAs), UK accreditation for its flagship one-year fast-track MBA program – PGPM, the two year PGDM, executive programs PGPM- Flex and PGXPM. It is worth mentioning that Great Lakes is the youngest and 7th institute in India to receive the AMBA, UK accreditation, Great Lakes has set new benchmark .

IBA also has its own plus points.IBA has created a niche for itself in the sea of management institutes through the culture it imbibes in its students. Indus Business Academy in Bengaluru is marching on the path to glory.

so both are good colleges but personally i would prefer greak lake than IBA BASED ON OVER ALL RANKING POINT .

Hi Rohan, cutoff generally varies every year based on various factors like number of seats available, number of test takers, difficulty of exams. However going by the past records, Great Lakes generally expects above 90 percentile and you have good chances of getting a call from there. Some of the other colleges are, 

1) Acharya Business School, Bangalore 

2) NL Dalmiya, Mumbai

Your percentile is greater than  cuttoff percentile of Great lakes of management but you don't have any working experience.Only such candidate can apply for PGPM or PGDM courses who have minimum working experience of 24 months and percentile at least 90 in CMAT.Only fresh graduates and candidates with less than 24 months experience after graduation as on 30th june 2019 is elligible to apply.But you have done internship in CA firm,you should apply.Let see what happens.But having minium 24 month work experience is mandatory.

Hi Lin, generally colleges release their cutoofs in a few days after CMAT results are announced. Cutoffs are nothing but score which is the minimum expected score to be considered. It varies every yesr based on various factors. Generally going by past records, Great Lakes Chennai has a cut off of 90+. Great Lakes also gives weightage to academics, but it will be very tight considering the fact the cut off has not been touched. Anyhow apply for Great Lakes, if there are seats available, there would be high chances to get in with this score and good profile. All the best !! I am sorry to say that there are very less chances that you get a seat in Great Lakes Institute of Managment, Chennai. As the cutoff marks is 280 that is the percentile between 98-100. But there are many other good colleges that you will get for your percentile. For further information on Cut offs refer following link.

You should have applied earlier as the admissions for most of the renowned B-schools are closed for this year. CMAT exam score is accepted by around 1000 B-schools across India. Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, Goa Institute of Management, Goa, IPE Hyderabad, WeSchool Mumbai, PUMBA, etc. are some of the known B-schools in the list. There would be a few B-schools, especialy the private ones, who are still accepting the CMAT score for admissions. You need to check with the institutes directly.
