GRT College of Education, Tiruttani: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

GRT College of Education, Tiruttani was started in 2005, which is an Affiliated College, located in Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu. Located at Chennai Tirupathi Highway this institution offers only teacher education programmes. The college, spread across a 14.47-acre campus, offers two full-time courses: Afflicted to B.Ed and M.Ed with total strength of students 300. At present it has a strength of 23 faculties, which ensure that the college has a good number of students to teacher ratio. It also receives accreditation from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the conforming of standards in teacher education at national level.

The GRT College of Education facilities include ICT that has been established to improve the quality of learning of the students in the college. The most vital part of the academic collection is a fully equipped library which contains more than 10 000 books, journals and periodicals accessible for students. For practical purposes the college has laboratories for Physical science and Natural science aptly furnished. There is also provided an auditorium for different performances and seminars enhancing the campus academic life. The students are privileged to enjoy the services of a canteen which sells meals at fairly cheaper rates to the students hence making many of them enjoy meals within the compound. 

GRT College of Education offers two primary courses: After its probationary period, the Commission granted the institute accreditation to offer a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a Master of Education (M.Ed) programme. These are full time courses that take two years to complete each. The intakes of the B.Ed programme have been approved for hundred seats and fifty seats for M.Ed programme. These programmes Cyprus allow students to complete their studies and ensure they achieve a successful marketable career especially within the education sector with adequate teaching skills and knowledge. The special focus of the given college on these two central programmes enables to provide targeted preparation of graduates for the teaching profession and various obstacles they are to face in the contemporary world.

GRT College of Education follows the merit system in admission process under the policies of admission formulated State Government, Union Territory Administration and the University to which it is affiliated to. For the B.ED programme, the duration of the course depends on an academic performance of a candidate in the qualifying examination or an entrance examination. Likewise, the M.Ed programme requires the candidate to have performed well in the qualifying examination; any other selection test as required by the governing bodies. It would therefore ensure that only the most suitable and hard working applicants are offered chances to pursue these essential teacher education programmes. The college is also having hostel of Boys and girls with neat and clean room with an average of neat and clean food for out station students who are willing to continue their study in GRT college of education.
