Hansraj Jivandas College of Education initiated by the Gujarat Research Society isone of the quality institutions in Mumbai, cosmopolitan city more than five decades ago, while nurturing aspiring educators, is the Hansraj Jivandas College of Education initiated by the Gujarat Research Society, in the year 1969, with the vision to build a bright future for education. It is NAAC accredited and affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education for imparting quality education to its students. The compact campus of the college covers 0.71 acres of area and serves the 100 students enrolled in it.

The Hansraj Jivandas College of Education, established by the Gujarat Research Society, offers specialised study programmes in education. 

Three full time programmes are offered in the institute: a three-year Bachelor of Education, Master of Arts in Education, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education. B.Ed forms the core business of the colleges, with approved intake of 100 from which the institute churns out a reasonable number of qualified teachers every year. The PhD programme with 18 seats takes the students to advanced research in the education sector.
