Gumla Polytechnic was set up in 2019 and is an A grade technical college in Gumla, Jharkhand, India. This affiliated college recognised by the AICTE is offering number of diploma programmes in the field of engineering. Located in a ten acre land, Gumla Polytechnic offers an ideal campus for delivering of technical knowledge. The institute has a student strength of 187 and has an ideal student-faculty ratio at 4.725:1, as it leads to the teachers being able to spend quality time teaching their students. The polytechnic has five full time diploma courses each taking three years with focus on different field of engineering.

Gumla Polytechnic owns several facilities with aims of improving the learner’s uptake of lessons at the institute. A fully stocked library plays an important role in disseminating latest technical information and literature. Modern workshops for every department for practical training which is important in all fields of engineering are available here. At present, Gumla Polytechnic has five diploma courses and all are nearly on a full time basis. These courses include many fields of engineering offering students a wide variety of options based on the technical area that students wish to focus on. The institute overall has an approved intake capacity of three hundred divided among different courses offered where each course has a capacity of 60 students. The immediate advantage to a structured intake process is that it assures the maximal utilisation of available resources as well as a stable learning atmosphere. The courses offered are Diploma in Mining, Civil, Electrical, Automobile Engineering, and Mechanical.
