Guru Dronacharya College of Nursing, Dharamshala has been started in 2010 and is one of the best nursing colleges in the scenic town of Dharamshala of Himachal Pradesh. This affiliated college offers a number of nursing courses as approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) under the exclusive enrolment of female students only. This college has an overall student capacity of 285 therefore, the college is nurturing the growth of aspiring nurses. The institution offers four nursing courses comprising undergraduate, and postgraduate nursing courses signifying a thoughtful provision of nursing training.

Guru Dronacharya College of Nursing has developed a complete complements of infrastructures ranging from the modern teaching facilities to improve the learning environment of the learners. The core of these facilities is a modern library that contains an impressive number of 30000 books, 20  research journals on health education, and international health magazines. For practical knowledge, the college facilitates highly developed laboratories such as anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry practical demonstrations, including models, specimens, etc., and child health practical lab. The institution also places emphasis on technology education with a computer unit equipped with multimedia requirement and high speed internet in order to prepare students for modern technological era of healthcare.

Guru Dronacharya College of Nursing runs four full time nursing courses to cater to the need of different levels of nursing education. These are General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing), Post Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post B.Sc Nursing) and Master of Science in Nursing (M.Sc Nursing). The college has a total approved intake of 130 students spread across all its courses such as GNM – 40, B.Sc Nursing – 40, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing – 30, and M.Sc Nursing with 20. These diverse programmes allow student to enrol for nursing courses at different levels of study, basic and advance.
