Guru Nanak College, Ferozepur is the pioneer college in the education field of Punjab, India which is established in 1971. This affiliated college is situated at 163, Railway Road, Ferozepur Cantt and had been moulding the generation for more than five decades. The faculty of this institution comprises of 53 committed and aspiring faculty members for teaching the students and the institution provides 12 courses in 8 degree programmes for students interest. It exemplifies quality education in its rigorous and broad procedural academic programmes from the under graduate level to post graduate level and specialised programmes in arts, science, commerce and computer application.

Dean of students’ affairs of the Guru Nanak College, Ferozepur revealed that the college provides a total of twelve courses including both the under graduate and post graduate courses. These are full time BA, B.Sc (Non-Medical, Medical Agriculture) and BCA at under graduate level B.Com at under graduate level and MA (History Punjabi and sociology) M.Sc Mathematics M.Com and PGDCA at post graduate level. Such comprise of courses is offered to serve the various area of concentration and career path needs. The college has a relatively large admission capacity for students; while the B.Com has a capacity of 70, most post graduate courses take 60 students on average. Parallel courses BCA & B.Sc Agriculture have separate intake capacity of 40 students each in order to provide them better education and concentration.

The admission policy in Guru Nanak College, Ferozepur, provides admission to all those candidates who are willing to practice in their respective fields of the discipline they are seeking admission. On average, the college tends to college academic performance during the qualifying examinations as being a dominant factor for admission. As for the postgraduate courses, the marks obtained in the bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject are considered.
