Guru Nanak Polytechnic, located in village Kooper, Kathar, Jalandhar, was established in the year 2014 and is an affiliated college. To address student’s need for technical education, this institution provides a variety of diploma programmes in the engineering field. Being a polytechnic institution with faculty strength of 20 qualified professionals, its aim is to produce quality engineers in different fields of engineering. The institute provides five full time diploma courses totalling a duration of three years that provide Civil, Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Science and Engineering streams.

Guru Nanak Polytechnic has a variety of facility plants put in place to complement the learning needs of the students. It has also amenities such as a gymnasium and an indoor play hall for complimentary activities such as carrom and chess. It has an area for four different laboratories, each sufficiently large to take many students at a time. In addition, the polytechnic has also put a lot of resources into having outstanding IT facilities so that students are familiar with modern technology in their fields.
