Gurukul Institute of Teacher’s Training and Research is one of the premier teacher training institutions located at Suratgarh of Rajasthan which was set up in 2007. This institute is a co-educational institute settled on a campus of 7.28 acre and is an affiliated college under NCTE – National Council for Teacher Education. To serve the future educators, the institute has B.Ed programme and the total admission capacity is 191 students.

Gurukul Institute of Teacher’s Training and Research currently has only one full time course: The Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course. This two-year programme is designed to accommodate 100 students with an approved intake for those who wants to be a professional in the realm of teaching. The course leading to the B.Ed qualification is aimed at producing professional educators with teaching skills relevant to school practice. Although quantification of the number of graduates cannot be done, the overall student population of 191 students shows continued demand for the institute’s teacher training programme.

Gurukul Institute of Teacher’s Training and Research does not have any entrance test for admission but admission are given based on percentage secured in the qualifying examination or any entrance examination if so desired. The institute may also use other methods of selection as may be provided under the policy of the state government, UT administration, and the University to which the institute is affiliated.
