Guruvayurappan Institute of Management was established in the year 1995 to provide quality education and training to aspiring management professionals. The institute is affiliated to Bharathiar University and is approved by AICTE.

GIM offers a two-year full-time MBA programme with specialisations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, and Information Technology.The GIM admission process follows the AICTE guidelines. Admission into MBA courses is carried out through entrance exams like MAT, CMAT, CAT, TANCET, CET, and other equivalent entrance exams conducted by the state/central government and are accepted by the institute. 

The GIM admission process into courses varies according to the course chosen by the candidate and their eligibility. The campus of GIM is spread over 10 acres of land and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to provide a conducive learning environment to the students. The institute has a well-stocked library, computer labs, seminar halls, an auditorium, sports facilities, and a cafeteria. 

The curriculum of the programme is designed to provide a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the students.
